At WSU’s Department of Digital Technology and Culture, I helped lead a rebranding initiative to establish a new visual identity for the program—designed to better reflect its mission and engage prospective students. I co-developed a comprehensive style guide outlining the department’s new visual standards, including color palettes, logos, typography, and imagery.

Following the rebrand, I adhered to the new identity system across all design work, while also contributing original ideas, event concepts, and a wide range of promotional graphics. I designed banners, posters, and other materials that were displayed throughout the WSU campus to enhance the department’s visibility and appeal.

The visual identity of DTC was developed by drawing inspiration from imagery we curated, allowing us to develop a unique & cohesive style.

The resulting aesthetic is characterized by a primarily duotone color scheme, along with manipulating text elements through techniques like stacking, cutting, outlining, and repetition. It also incorporates dynamic line weights and clean geometric shapes.

This identity is designed to be modular—flexible enough to adapt to various contexts while maintaining a unified, core aesthetic that ties each design back to the DTC brand.

To support department culture and community-building, I designed a wide range of event materials. This included monthly Coffee Hour posters, which fostered casual student-faculty connections, as well as branding and promotional assets for the Annual Awards and Showcase Event, a formal celebration of student work and achievement.
