Shifting Sands

SOFTWARE: Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop Shifting Sands is a band deeply influenced by the iconic sounds of late 60s and 70s psychedelic folk rock music. They are currently making their debut with their first album, "Changes," and sought a visual identity to both captivate and promote their new release. Staying true to the thematic core, their album art mirrors the concept of change, creating a cohesive visual experience. The band aimed to engage their audience through clever color interactions and thoughtfully curated content, to maximize the appeal of each album.  

This project serves as a creative exploration of space, discord, tonal progression, and harmony though intelligent color application to inform audience about musical implications and build dynamic visual interest. The Collection below consist of six small covers that explore color application though a variety of color schemes, a final large album design, and an event promotional poster design.
